Intellectual Property

During your employment at T&H you may create original work that is protected by copyright or other intellectual property rights. This is particularly the case if you work in design or editorial. The law provides that, as an employee, copyright in your original contribution to our titles and products vests automatically in T&H as your employer. This means that you cannot use work that you or any of your colleagues have created for us in any other context or for any other purpose other than for the company either during or after your employment with us. This does not include referring to a title you have worked on as part of a creative portfolio.

Unauthorized use of company intellectual property may result us invoking our Disciplinary Procedure or be actionable in law as a copyright or other intellectual property infringement.

If you have a question on any aspect of copyright or intellectual property please ask our Legal & Business Affairs Director.
